How to clip PUBG: Battlegrounds on PC

Updated 5 November 2026

PUBG fights are often decided at range: a scoped headshot across a field, a vehicle chase into the circle, the last fight in a shrinking zone. Clippy holds the recent part of the match in memory, so when it happens you press one key and the clip is saved.

Clip PUBG: Battlegrounds in four steps

  1. Download Clippy and open it once. It sits in the tray from then on.
  2. Start PUBG: Battlegrounds. Clippy sees the game start and begins keeping the last minute in memory, with nothing to set up.
  3. When something happens worth keeping, press F8. That minute is saved as an MP4 named after the game and the time.
  4. Open the clip in Clippy to trim it, then press Share for a link, or export it vertical for TikTok, Shorts and Reels.

PUBG: Battlegrounds moments worth clipping

  • A long-range scoped headshot on a moving player.
  • A squad wipe from a compound window.
  • A vehicle play, through a road block or into the final circle.
  • A clutch in the last circle that wins the chicken dinner.
  • A frag grenade thrown perfectly through a window.

Good Clippy settings for PUBG: Battlegrounds

Replay length 3 minutes

PUBG fights often start with a long rotation, and three minutes keeps the approach as well as the kills.

Frame rate 60 fps

Much of PUBG is slow movement and long sightlines, so 60 fps looks clean and leaves memory for a longer buffer.

Resolution Native

Long-range targets are a few pixels tall, and recording at your screen's own resolution keeps them visible in the clip.

How Clippy records PUBG: Battlegrounds

PUBG: Battlegrounds is on Steam, and Clippy knows tens of thousands of Steam games by name, so recording starts when the game opens.

Clippy records the game window only, through Windows Graphics Capture, and does not inject anything into the game.

Sharing is up to you: clips stay on your disk until you press Share, and a link plays for anyone without an account. Too big for Discord? See sending clips under the size limit.

Questions

How do I keep a long PUBG fight in one clip?

Pick a longer replay length in Settings. It shows how much memory each length takes, so you can choose what your PC can spare.

Can I export a PUBG clip small enough for Discord?

Yes. "Fit under N MB" lowers the bitrate, and the resolution when needed, to fit a size such as Discord's free 10 MB limit (at the time of writing).

Does Clippy work on AMD and Intel graphics for PUBG?

Yes. It encodes with AMF on AMD and Quick Sync on Intel, NVENC on NVIDIA, with a software fallback.
