How to clip Call of Duty on PC
Updated 5 November 2026
Call of Duty clips come from fast multiplayer and long Warzone matches alike: a killstreak chained off one life, a Search and Destroy clutch, a final circle won on a rooftop. Clippy records in the background, so one key after the play saves it as an MP4.
Clip Call of Duty in four steps
- Download Clippy and open it once. It sits in the tray from then on.
- Start Call of Duty. Clippy sees the game start and begins keeping the last minute in memory, with nothing to set up.
- When something happens worth keeping, press F8. That minute is saved as an MP4 named after the game and the time.
- Open the clip in Clippy to trim it, then press Share for a link, or export it vertical for TikTok, Shorts and Reels.
Call of Duty moments worth clipping
- A killstreak earned on one life and called in straight away.
- A Search and Destroy clutch with the bomb planted.
- A squad wipe in Warzone from a rooftop or a building.
- A last-circle win with the gas closing in.
- A throwing knife or quickscope that should not have hit.
Good Clippy settings for Call of Duty
Multiplayer streaks and Warzone fights both run longer than a minute, and two minutes keeps the whole run.
Fast strafing and quick time to kill look smoother at 120, and Settings shows whether the game keeps up while recording.
Smoke, explosions and fast movement break up at low bitrates, and High gives them room.
How Clippy records Call of Duty
Clippy records the Call of Duty window only, through Windows Graphics Capture, and does not inject anything into the game. If you play in exclusive fullscreen and alt-tab out between matches, the replay buffer survives.
If Clippy does not pick up your Call of Duty launcher, add the game once in Settings.
Sharing is up to you: clips stay on your disk until you press Share, and a link plays for anyone without an account. Too big for Discord? See sending clips under the size limit.
