How to clip Deadlock on PC
Updated 5 November 2026
Deadlock mixes shooter aim with MOBA objectives, so its clips are a teamfight that spills across lanes or a solo pick that wins a walker. Clippy keeps the recent part of the match in memory, so you press one key after the fight and it is saved.
Clip Deadlock in four steps
- Download Clippy and open it once. It sits in the tray from then on.
- Start Deadlock. Clippy sees the game start and begins keeping the last minute in memory, with nothing to set up.
- When something happens worth keeping, press F8. That minute is saved as an MP4 named after the game and the time.
- Open the clip in Clippy to trim it, then press Share for a link, or export it vertical for TikTok, Shorts and Reels.
Deadlock moments worth clipping
- A teamfight that wipes the enemy team and opens a lane.
- A solo pick on an enemy carry with a well-timed ability.
- A Guardian or Walker taken while the enemy looks the other way.
- A zipline rotation that arrives just in time to turn a fight.
- An escape at low health through movement and abilities.
Good Clippy settings for Deadlock
Deadlock fights often start with a rotation across the map, and two minutes keeps the approach as well as the fight.
It is still a shooter, and quick tracking and movement read better at a high frame rate.
Keep the main key for long objective fights and use this one for a single pick or escape.
How Clippy records Deadlock
Deadlock is on Steam, and Clippy knows tens of thousands of Steam games by name, so recording starts when the match loads.
Clippy captures the Deadlock window through Windows Graphics Capture and injects nothing into the game.
Sharing is up to you: clips stay on your disk until you press Share, and a link plays for anyone without an account. Too big for Discord? See sending clips under the size limit.
