How to clip ARC Raiders on PC
Updated 5 November 2026
ARC Raiders clips are fights against machines and other raiders: an ARC brought down with the last of your ammo, a chat with a stranger that ends in a shootout, an extraction made just in time. Clippy records the whole raid in the background, so one key after the moment keeps it.
Clip ARC Raiders in four steps
- Download Clippy and open it once. It sits in the tray from then on.
- Start ARC Raiders. Clippy sees the game start and begins keeping the last minute in memory, with nothing to set up.
- When something happens worth keeping, press F8. That minute is saved as an MP4 named after the game and the time.
- Open the clip in Clippy to trim it, then press Share for a link, or export it vertical for TikTok, Shorts and Reels.
ARC Raiders moments worth clipping
- A big ARC machine brought down with the last of your ammunition.
- A friendly chat with other raiders that turns into a fight.
- An extraction reached with seconds to spare.
- A squad of raiders wiped from cover.
- A run home with rare loot after a close call.
Good Clippy settings for ARC Raiders
Raids move slowly between bursts of action, and three minutes keeps the approach and the fight together.
A lighter buffer suits long raids, and Settings shows what the game is actually delivering while you record.
Your mic is only recorded while you hold the key, so clips carry what you said to other raiders without the silence between.
How Clippy records ARC Raiders
ARC Raiders is on Steam, and Clippy knows tens of thousands of Steam games by name, so recording starts when the game opens.
Clippy captures the game window only through Windows Graphics Capture and does not inject anything into the game process.
Sharing is up to you: clips stay on your disk until you press Share, and a link plays for anyone without an account. Too big for Discord? See sending clips under the size limit.
Questions
How do I clip an ARC Raiders fight after it happened?
Press your save key. Clippy keeps the last stretch of the raid in memory, so the fight and what led up to it are saved.
Can I keep other players' voices in my ARC Raiders clips?
Voices the game plays are part of the game sound. Your own mic is on its own track, so you can balance the two in the editor.
Can I add captions to what was said?
Yes. Captions are generated on your own PC, nothing is uploaded, and you can edit them before export.
